- June 11., 2008, E-Infrastructure seminar
- On 9th June 2008, the CESNET conference room hosted a seminar dealing with the development of the e-infrastructure in the Czech Republic. The front speaker was Dr. Eugene Yeh, Director of NCHC – National Center for Supercomputing in Tchai-wan. The Center is running the TWAREN National Academic Network as well. By the purpose and activities, the NCHC is very similar to the CESNET association. Due to the infrastructure and the system developed during the recent years, the NCHC has become one of the leaders in the branch in Asia, while ranking very high worldwide (in TOP500 supercomputers list) as well.
